Wild conditions in the Atlantic.

After a brutal first night battling winds over 50 knots and 4m seas, @conradcolman and @mathieu__blanchard have made the decision to pause racing and head into Roscoff, Finistère, for a technical stop.

A radar failure and autopilot issues meant the duo were without critical weather data and steering support as a powerful front closed in off the Spanish coast.

Prioritising safety and performance, they’ve chosen to meet the technical team in Roscoff before continuing on across the Atlantic.

The objective: get back in the race, stronger and safer.

For centuries, Māori and Polynesian navigators used the stars as guides across the vast Pacific Ocean
